I run a D.I.Y. Digital Record Label, and we have recently been releasing Cassette Tapes as a way of physically putting our music in the hands of our supporters. Backwards? A bit.... But we believe it is about the love that goes in more than the sound quality coming out.
I create each tape from scratch in my bedroom, starting with blank 60 minute high-fidelity tapes and duplicating copies off a master via my Otari DP-4-C3 duplicator. From there, I print and cut the inserts, and paint all the tapes; The result is one of a kind, handmade, great sounding stereo albums (That WONT disappear if your harddrive crashes...).
F.Y.I. I was not responsible for all of the artwork on the album covers, some is my work and others were contributed by artists and designers.
